Good Morning! Like J. F. Kennedy, Reagan's rate cutting policy was built to encourage consumption. Reagan and Kennedy succeeded, contrary to what progressive economists believed, to provide an economic recovery. Nevertheless, to cope with growth, it was necessary for the state to provide more money, which generated rapid national debt growth. Answer: d) National debt grew rapidly. Hugs!

The criticism that the tax payments of the rich would fall under ERTA was based on a static conception of human behavior. As a 1982 JEC study pointed out, similar across-the-board tax cuts had been implemented in the 1920s as the Mellon tax cuts, and in the 1960s as the Kennedy tax cuts. In both cases the reduction of high marginal tax rates actually increased tax payments by "the rich," also increasing their share of total individual income taxes paid. Unfortunately, estimates of ERTA by the Democrat-controlled CBO continued to show falling tax payment by upper income taxpayers, even after actual IRS data had become available showing a surge of income tax payments by affluent taxpayers.
So I would say the answer is B

Why did European explorers seek a Northeast Passage and how successful were their efforts?
lakkis [162]

Answer:

Since Columbus discovered America in 1492 many European sailors tried to reach Asia by sailing towards the west and that is why one of their goal was to reach it by sailing towards the North. They weren't successful at the beginning because the weather condition and the conditions of sailing were bad and they weren't able to reach Asia through that route until 1906 when Roald Amundsen somehow managed to navigate this route.

Explanation:

Among the first Europeans who tried to find this passage were famous explorers, including John Cabot and Jack Cartier, but they both failed. It just proved the fact that it was practically impossible at the time to use this route.

What is a fossil really?
babunello [35]

Answer: The remains of an animal after being put under pressure by layers of sediment.

Explanation:

when an animal (or plant) dies, its remains are buried slowly by layers of dirt, sand, small rocks, etc. after the layers are removed, the fossil remains!

The remains can be fully recovered, or they can act as a cast so you can only see the outline of the actual bone or plant rather than the real thing :)

What are some responsibilities of a nation expanding their territories?
Y_Kistochka [10]

By increasing demand through monetary and fiscal stimulus, expansionary policy aims to stimulate an economy. The goal of expansionary policy is to stop or lessen economic downturns and recessions.

How do countries expand their territories?

State-collapse When the stated purpose of expansionism is to retake lost territory or seize ancestral lands, anarchy, reunification, or pan-nationalism are occasionally used to excuse and legitimise it.

Imperialism is the governmental policy, practise, or advocacy of expanding power and dominion, particularly through direct territorial acquisition or by seizing control of other areas and peoples on a political and economic level.

Economic, strategic, religious, and political factors are the four main drivers of imperialism. With the aid of these motivations, powerful empires were able to conquer new lands and introduce fresh cultures and languages to both the colonised nations and the nations that were doing the colonising.
