If you draw both triangles on a paper, you can that the side RT correspond to the side WY of the other triangle (which means that they are both located on the same side of each triangle). And since RST=WXY, so RT = WY.

Hope this Helps! :)

OK , let me start from here ,

As you have not clarified in the question which geometrical shape is formed by the points   R S And T  ,and  W,X and Y .

1. Considering R S and T  and W,X,Y to be collinear points . ,

and it is given that , RS T = W X Y ( are equal line segments).

Then

Corresponding part of , RT  will be  W Y.

2. If these points ,that is R,S,T and W,X,and Y are non collinear , they will form a triangle.

As Given : Δ RST =≅ ΔWXY

If triangle are congruent then their corresponding sides and corresponding angles are equal.

So, Corresponding part of RT will be WY.

John has a ribbon that was 1 1/2 meters long. He used 2 pieces that were each 1/3 of that length. How much ribbon did John use?
Bond [772]

Answer:

1 meter.

Step-by-step explanation:

1 1/2 * 1/3

= 3/2 * 1/3

= 3/6

= 1/2.

So John used 2*1/2 = 1 meter of the ribbon.

Write the equation of the line for a line that passes through (-2,-4) and (-1, -1).
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

y = 3x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the slope using the slope formula

m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

   = ( -1 - -4)/(-1 - -2)

   = (-1 +4)/ (-1 +2)

   = 3/1

  = 3

The slope intercept formula is

y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept

y = 3x+b

Using the point (-1,-1) and substituting into the equation

-1 = 3(-1)+b

-1 = -3+b

-1+3 = b

2 = b

y = 3x+2
