Glycol ethers are mainly used as solvents for resin, inks, paints, gum, dyes and they are classified as air pollutant. At room temperature, they are colorless liquid with slight odor. Glycol ethers can also be used as an ingredient in cleaning compounds such as cosmetics, soaps and liquid.
