The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire was an incident that occurred in 1911 in New York, U.S. as the Triangle Waist Co. fired and around 146 workers died, this included mainly women of different ages and due to the number of deaths this is considered as one of the deadliest industrial disasters in the U.S. It is believed this fire was caused as one of the scrap bins of the place s accidentally fire as a result of a match or cigarette that was thrown in it and the fire then extended to all the place. Additionally, the main cause for the number of deaths was that the exits and emergency stairways were closed and there was any plan or measure to react to the situation. Because fo this, this incident showed it was necessary to create workplace safety reforms, indeed after this, the Factory Investigating Commission was created to check if the conditions in factories were safe and could prevent the death of workers.
