Cole needs at least $815 to cover travel and hotel expenses for an upcoming national singing competition. He is setting up a wee

kly singing gig at a local coffee shop to pay for the costs. If the coffee shop agrees to pay him $125 each week after he made $65 at an open mic night at the shop, how many weeks could Cole perform to raise the amount he needs for the competition?

For this case we have:

Let x be the number of weeks you should work in the store. We have:

125x + 65 \geq 815

That is,125xrepresents the profit obtained according to the number of weeks worked.

65, represents the gain obtained in one night, in the store.

Cole's earnings must be greater than or equal to the cost of the trip and stay of the singing competition, so he can cover it.

Clearing x:

125x\geq 815-65\\ 125x\geq 750

x \geq\frac{750}{125}

x \geq6

Thus, the minimum number of weeks that Cole must work to cover the costs of the competition is 6.

Answer:

The minimum number of weeks is 6.

x \geq6

It would take 6 weeks for Cole to make 750$ and the 65$ he had received from the open mic would make it 815$

Actually i’m pretty sure what you would do is multiply 24,50 by 5, because he wrote 5 checks of that amount. then you would subtract that from the total of $450. Then multiply 45 by 3 because he deposited three deposits of $45, and add that amount to the number you got after subtracting 24.50

A bandleader randomly select's two students out of 100 bandmembers if you and your brother are both bandmembers what is the prob
kherson [118]
<span>There are 100 * 99 = 9900 different ways to choose two students out of 100 bandmembers. You and our brother are 2 of that ways: you being selected first and you being selected second. Therefore the probability that you two are selected is 2 / 9900 = 0,000202. You can also think as the probability of you being selected among 100 bandmembers, which is 1/100, times the probability of your brother being selected among 99 members, which is 1/99 => (1/100) * (1/99) = 1/ (100*99) = 1 / 9900; plus the same for your brother being selected first and you second => [1/9900] * 2 = 2/9900, which is the same calculated above.</span>
