How are industrialization and imperialism related

History
1 answer:
zloy xaker [14]4 years ago
5 0
These two can be very intertwined, imperialistic nations are often also heavily industrialized (and they were in the past). Due to being industrialized meant two things; they needed a lot of resources to keep up the production and they also needed a lot of cheap labour force to keep up the demand of being profitable. Both of these then led industrialized nations to be more imperialistic (in search of resources and cheap labour) and vice versa - imperialistic countries could develop an industry faster through imperialism.
