The third alternative is correct (C).

In some countries in southeastern Asia, gender issues are still a major hindrance. The social role of women is still challenged by religious and cultural issues. Thus, many women are bans on access to education and employment. As a result, the economy ceases to produce more, since women are an untapped labor force in these countries.

C. Some women are denied equal educational opportunities and so cannot contribute as much to the economy.

Which statement best explains how the lightbulb changed society, culture, and the economy?
nikitadnepr [17]
Well, I don't see any statements, but in my opinion, the lightbulb changed everything due to a movement of going from laterns to an advancement in machinery which helped some people get from the 'witch hunt' kind of society to a more modern people during that time. That's what I can say about this assessment.

How do you think people would have responded to the film? Would they have found it reassuring or frightening? Why do you think s
Doss [256]

One of the very first was more of a short scene than a film. It was called L’Arrivée d’un train en gare de La Ciotat ( Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat). The 50- second- long silent black and white was filmed in 1896 by Auguste and Louis Lumiere. There is an urban legend that tells of how the film caused a stampede when the audience thought the train would drive right into them. But the truth was just the audience and the journalists were just impressed and amazed. They were pleasantly surprised and was very excited for more film.
