The group of women led protests every week for two years until the Nineteenth Amendment was passed and this ratified women could vote as any citizen could be denied to vote on the basis of gender. But unfortunately, during this time of protests, multiple cases of abuse and unfair arrest occurred against women. Therefore, the "Silent Sentinels" were basically female suffragists who protested outside the White House to try to defend and ratify their right to vote.
