Answer: C. Hydroelectric dams

Explanation:

The Andes has rivers that supply a significant amount of water and so are ideal for the construction of hydroelectric dams and power stations. More than 200 dams have been planned for the Andes with a lot of those being built already.

Environmentalists worry that this is too many dams to build as they believe that it will reduce the agricultural productivity of the region as it will reduce the amount of sediments being carried by the rivers to other areas.

What three things would you do if you were president? Explain.
enot [183]
If I was left in the main office of the USA If I were president I would clear up what going on by the border, because those children need freedom or at least somewhere safe to be. I would use the tax money to pay for better sanctuaries for them. I would also put more tax money towards nicer orphanages. I would also expose major Hollywood stars for human trafficking, and for S.A. I would also put some money into police training academy’s.

Read the following paragraph from the introduction [paragraphs 1-3].
Andrej [43]

Answer:

Swarbrick is young compared with other parliamentarians, and she feels that the older generation cannot understand the threat of global warming.

Explanation:

The given passage is from the text titled <em>"OK, boomer, " retorts lawmaker to heckler during climate change meeting </em>.

It tells about Chlöe Swarbrick's speech in the New Zealand Parliament. Bringing the attention of the rest of the parliament to an important issue, climate change, she mentions her age, emphasizing that it will be the younger generations who will be dealing with the consequences of global warming, not most of the members of the parliament, who will no longer be its members in a couple of decades. They do not understand the threat of global warming, which is why they are not paying attention to it, despite the fact they should.

This is why the third option is the correct one.
