Answer:

  A. The theft of the lock.

Explanation:

The mock-heroic narrative poem was written by Alexander Pope. The poem satirizes a small incident by comparing it to the epic world of the gods.

He introduced a system of Sylphs as guardians spirits of virgins. It was an attempt of parodized the gods and goddess of conventional epic.

The story was written by the request of Pope´s friend, Lord Petre, about a true event. He cut a lock of hair from a woman named Arabella without permission and that created a breach between the two families. In the poem, Lord Petre is replaced by the Baron and Arabella by Belinda.

When the Baron of the poem attempts to cut a lock of Belinda's hair, the sylphs interpose their airy bodies between the blades of the scissors.

I hope this answer helps you.

The main character killed the old man because of his glass eye.

Explanation:

In the story, the main character denies of being called a serial killer. The only reason that he killed the old man was because of his glass eye that was bothering him so much. The old man was never rude towards the killer, nothing like that. It is also why the murder took so long to preform.

Revise my writing and tell me what i can do better.
Alenkinab [10]
You need a thesis statement in your intro paragraph. "Even" in the first sentence is capitalized even though it is after a comma. Rather than just giving background, try to relate the background info to examples in the novel.

valentina_108 [34]
In the poem, Byron writes that daylight is "gaudy."

He does this to prove that daylight is overly bright and showy. His love is not like daylight -- she is not bright and showy.

That's why she walks like the night -- she does not need to flaunt her beauty. Her beauty is natural.
