Answer:

The Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry is known for his sculptural design, and his ability to twist forms and make unusual projects for architecture. His brilliant and original solutions enable him to be responsible for marvelous constructions, awarding him in 1989 with the Pritzker Architecture Prize.

He usually uses corrugated metal, chain link, and titanium.

Explanation:

Born in 1929 in Toronto, Canada, Frank Owen Goldberg adopted Gehry to sign his projects. In 1947 his family immigrated to Los Angeles and got graduated in Architecture at the University of Southern California in 1954.

In 1959 he moved to Cambridge, where he studied at Havard Graduate School of Design the City Planning course. He defines his style as experimental and avoid to categorize his work, but some critics like to classify it as Deconstructivism. There’re critical and hironical elements in his architecture but at the same time, they intrigue and please the observer’s eyes.

His masterpiece is the Guggenheim Museum, in Bilbao, Spain, made in titanium-clad. Other well-known works are Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, MIT Ray and Maria Stata in Cambridge, The Vontz Center for Molecular Studies at the University of Cincinnati, Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, New World Center in Miami Beach, Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Dancing House in Prague, the Vitra Design Museum and the MARTa Museum in Germany, the Art Gallery of Toronto, the French Cinemateque in Paris, and the 8 Spruce Street in New York City.

Whitman uses a strong figurative language with an iambic meter that provides a fluid rhythm and enhanced effect.

Explanation:

Walt Whitman wrote the poem "O Captain! My Captain!" for his favorite President Abraham Lincoln. Though the poem does not have a proper thyme scheme, Whitman uses a strong figurative language with an iambic meter that provides a fluid rhythm and enhanced effect.

The line "O Captain! My Captain!" emphasis the theme very well, as the tone keeps changing, it starts happy and ends despair in the distress of a great leader.

His repetition of lines till the final line enhances the effect of understanding the emotion and pity of the poet and the loss of a great leader in history.

What technique of Leonardo da Vinci’s is demonstrated in the fresco seen above? a. sfumato b. chiaroscuro c. linear perspective
AnnZ [28]

Correct answer choice is:

A. Sfumato.

____________________________________________________________

Explanation:

In painting, the word "sfumato" relates to the method of oil sketching which colors or hues are mixed in such a detailed way that they fuse into one another without discernible changes, lines or borders. Leonardo da Vinci himself explained sfumato as a blending of shades "without edges or margins, in the way of smoke." It is as if a cloud of smoke has been disposed between the landscape and the observer, toning down the bright regions and easing the dark ones, so as to compose a soft, undetectable development within the differing trends.
