You only need one, but to use two let's go from cm to mm an then mm to inches.  there are 100 mm^2 in a cm^2 so that's 100 mm^2/ 1 cm^2 and then there's  645.16 mm^2 in one square inch so that one will be 1 in^2/ 645.16 mm^2 so writing it out we get:

62 cm^2 * 100 mm^2/ 1 cm^2 *  1 in^2/ 645.16 mm^2

units all cancel out to get in^2 an then you just multiply 62*100/645.16 = 9.61 so that leaves us with 9.61 in^2.
