To help the writer elaborate on statements

Further Explanation:

SEE-I is a method of clarification and understanding. The full form of SEE-I is state, elaborate, Exemplify and Illustrate and through this method, one can understand the concept of the topic in a better way. This method also lends itself to a natural narrative style of writing in which important concepts and topics are described in a better and clear manner.

As a process of this method, it starts with a clear statement of the concept after which the person clarifies the statement in his own words. Then comes the exemplify part in which person cites various examples as well as counterexamples of the concept and finally, the person ends the topic with the generalization of the concept by typically forming a metaphor or analogy. This process lends readers to fully latch onto the concept and there are only a few individuals who can work through this process.

*The letter ..... Yesterday .
wrote
was written
had written
has been written
Naily [24]

Answer:

The letter was written yesterday.

Explanation:

Yesterday is a keyword that indicates the action happened and ended. Therefore, we have to use past simple tense.

That leaves us with wrote and was written choice. Last two choices are past perfect and they should only be applied when there consists of past tense in one clause —> e.g I had eaten rice before I went to bed.

Next, we have to understand between active voice and passive voice.

Active Voice

Subject + Verb + Object

An example of active voice is:

 • I eat rice.
 • I write a book.
 • I hit a desk.

On the other hand, we have:

Passive Voice

Object + verb to be/have + been (if there is) + past participle + by subject (if there is)

An example is:

 • Rice is eaten by me.
 • A book is written by me.
 • A desk is hit by me.

Active voice starts with subject causing something to object.

Passive voice starts with object being caused something by subject.

And we know that a letter cannot write itself so it cannot be a subject but an object.

Hence, the letter was written yesterday is correct, indicating that the letter was being done and not letter doing.

Aloiza [94]

Answer: "I am sorry that I won't be able to say everything I'd planned in my remaining time, but please let me conclude with . . ." Then state your most important idea and make your conclusion before time runs out.

Explanation: If you may be cut off by the moderator or the chairman, your audience will at least hear the conclusion you planned. If you are stopped ( and it DOES happen ) in mid-sentence or without making your most important point, the audience will see you as disorganized, or insensitive to the time limits, and may have an unfavorable impression of you-- and they will have missed the purpose of your speech.
