The strategic objectives of the Great War for Empire were to gain as much land as possible, getting the natural resources from there, use it for production of valuable goods, spreading the culture.

In general, it can be stated that the European powers were very successful in accomplishing global domination. If the territories of the European powers in the colonial period are put together, they rule over most of the planet. Apart from the motherlands, both North and South America were conquered, Australia as well, big portions of Asia, and all of Africa, with the British Empire having the largest territory if looking individually.

Important Facts:
The Southwest region is made up of California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and Texas. Part of the Southwest region is along the Pacific ocean. Fun fact they grew 24 types of corn
Types Of homes:
Adobe homes, these houses had many levels in them and were made of clay and straw bricks, they get their name bc they were cemented together using adobe!
Sources of food:
They ate mammoths until they tragically became extinct, after that they became farmers, so a very important food they ate was corn also knows as maize(another fun fact) They also grew beans, squash, melons, pumpkins and fruit. For meat, they often ate wild turkey.

What was the impact of the platt amendment?

On March 2, 1901, the Platt Amendment was passed as part of the 1901 Army Appropriations Bill. It stipulated seven conditions for the withdrawal of United States troops remaining in Cuba at the end of the Spanish–American War, and an eighth condition that Cuba sign a treaty accepting these seven conditions.  On May 22, 1903 the treaty was signed between U.S. and Cuba to protect Cuba´s independence from foreign intervention and permitting extensive U.S. involvement in Cuban international and domestic affairs for the enforcement of Cuban independence.  

The Impact:

Ironically The Platt Amendment was used by the U.S. for the Second Occupation of Cuba from 1906 to 1909. On September 29, 1906, Secretary of War (and future U.S. president) William Howard Taft initiated the Second Occupation of Cuba when he established the Provisional Government of Cuba under the terms of the treaty (Article three), declaring himself Provisional Governor of Cuba. On October 23, 1906, President Roosevelt issued Executive Order 518, ratifying the order
