A trick to solve these kind of problems would be...

SOHCAHTOA

Some Old Hippy Caught Another Hippy Tripping On Acid

Aka

Sin = Opposite / Hypotenuse
Cos = Adjacent / Hypotenuse
Tan = Opposite / Adjacent

Then your answer to find Sin Z...
You're looking for an angle measurement so you're going to use an inverse operation.

You'd do...

Sin = 24/40

24/40 = .6

Then you'd use your inverse so...

Z°= Sin^-1(.6)

Z = 36.8698°

Rounding

Z = 36.870°

If you're using a scientific calculator. Make sure to put your calculator in degree mode to find the angle measurements and in radians to find missing side lengths.

The area of a rectangle is 252 cm², and the length is 3 less than 2 times the width. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

21cm, 12cm

Step-by-step explanation:

width=x cm

length=2x-3 cm

area= 252cm²

l*b= 252 cm²

(2x-3)(x)=252

2x²-3x= 252

this is how I did it

we need to find the nearest square of the number (it should be lesser than the area)

that is 225, whose square root is 15.

since there is a coefficient to the x², the value of x would be calculate like this 15- (2+1)= 15-3 = 12

x= 12

we can verify it too,

2*(12)² - 3*12=252

288-36=252

252=252

therefore width is 12 cm and width is 2*12-3= 24-3= 21 cm

verify;

21*12= 252

252=252

hence the dimensions are 12 am (width) and 21 cm(length).

How do I do this? Help????!!!
mylen [45]
A = 9 because 11.2-2.2=9
B= 2.2 because 9+2.2=11.2
C=2.2 because 11.2-9=2.2
D=9.2 because 11.2-2=9

E=4.5 because 9.5-5=4.5
F= 5 because 9.5-4.5=5
G=4.5 because 9.5-5=4.5
H=5 because 9.5-4.5=5

I= x=11 because 99 divided by 9 = 11
J= x=9 because 99 divided by 11 = 9
K= 9 because 99 divided by 11 =9
L= 11 because 99 divided by 9=11

M=2 because 4 divided by 2 =2
N=4 because 2 times 2 =4
O=2 because 4 divided by 2 =2
P=2 because 4 divided by 2=2

hope this helps:)
