In 197 BC, in Hispania (or the Iberian Peninsula), the Romans established their first provinces. It took a long time to conquest the rest of the peninsula. It was completed in 9 BC. <span>Hispania </span><span>became an important part of the Roman Empire where the Roman families settled there. </span><span>Olive production thrived and Hispania was the biggest supplier of the vast </span><span>quantity of olive oil which was consumed in the city of Rome. And there were other things and improvements in the place.</span><span> </span>
