Sensory imagery

Sensory imagery is when the author appeals to one or more of the five senses. In this passage the specific details about colors and sizes appeal to the sense of sight while the rose petals described as sweet appeal to the sense of smell. The other options don't work. A metaphor is a comparison between two unlike things without using like or as. A simile is a comparison between two unlike things using like or as. Nothing is being compared in these two lines so metaphor and simile are incorrect. Personification is giving nonhuman things human-like traits. The lines are describing a person so this is also not a viable option.
