Answer:

The correct answer is option B. Mr. White makes his third wish on the monkey's paw to return his son to the graveyard.

Explanation:

The climax in a story is that point where all its development reaches its peak. In other words, one could say that it is the "crisis." Where an important decision, or some type of break point is generated. There is a "peak" in the story, which will later lead to the falling action, where the problem is solved.

In The Monkey’s Paw this occurs when Mr White takes the paw after he has been convinced that he would never use it again because of the consequences it brought, to ask for his son to disappear.

The tension reaches its peak as it could be heard blows closer and closer, together with the cries of Mrs. White who blindly wanted to meet her son. But Mr White knew that this was not really his son, but a kind of monster that came to kill him and his wife. Therefore he takes the Paw and asks for his last wish. The reader is in a state of great anxiety at this point since it is not known if Mr White really got to stop the monster.

But finally it does and the tension scene descends, giving rise to an image of calm, where when they opened the door they found nothing.
