Answer:

The Parliament of the Great Britain is the law making body that governs the UK that includes Wales, England, North Ireland and Scotland.

Explanation:

The Parliament of Great Britain is branched into the following,

 • A House of Lords
 • A House of Commons

House of Lords: The upper house, meets in Palace of Westminister. It includes Lords Temporal who are life peers and Lords Spirituals, the bishops in established Church of England.

House of Commons: The lower house, meets in the Portcullis House and Westminister Palace. It includes 650 MP (Members of Parliament). By the first-past-the-post system, the members are elected representing the constituencies till the parliament is dissolved.

What happens to the known history of a civilization if their writing also disappears?
Igoryamba

Answer:

If their writing dissapears, then, what is known about that civilization is also likely to dissapear, unless their previous writing was preserved in some other way.

This is something that has actually happened often in history. For example, the library of Alexandria, in Egypt, was the largest library of the Ancient World, and it was burned down by Caliph Omar in 642 AD. Countless works by Ancient authors, that gave account of civilizations, cultures, philosphies, and religions, were lost, and there is no plausible way to recover such knowledge in the current era.

Why did Parliament prefer William and Mary to Charles 2?
rosijanka [135]

Answer: William and Mary respected Parliament.

Explanation:

Unlike Charles II, William and Mary (like all future rulers) did not try to pass a single law without going through parliamentary procedure. Also, Charles II rejected the rules and did not convene a session of Parliament for three years.

All this was the result of Parliament's distrust of Charles II. This is why the trust was shown to William and Mary.
