Answer:

d) leave the intercept of the 1/[S] axis unchanged

Explanation:

A non-competitive inhibitor binds to the enzyme in an allosteric site, which is a different site than the active site where the substrate binds.

If you add more substrate molecules, the inhibitor will still be able to bind to the enzyme and inhibit its activity, so Vmax decreases but Km (the substrate concentration at which the rate of the reaction is half the Vmax) remains unchanged.

In a Lineweaver-Burk plot (1/V vs 1/[S]), the point where the line hits the y-axis is 1/Vmax and the point where the line hits the x-axis is -1/Km.

Because Vmax decreases the line intercepts the y-axis farther away from zero, and the x-axis in the same place because Km doesn't change.

what probability do we have of obtaining a purple flower (Rr), when we combine two blue flowers (rr) in an incomplete Dominance
34kurt

Answer: none

Explanation:

If we have that the color characteristic is regulated by the dominant gene R, by crossing two blue flowers with the recessive gene r, no violet flower will be obtained, since the rule of incomplete dominance describes that phenotypes can be obtained intermediates of homozygous parents, however in the case, we only have 2 parents with the same recessive conditions, which do not contribute to generate the violet, to produce one of the parents should have a gene that expresses the color red

What does a cladogram tell us?
Anton [14]
A cladogram (from Greek clados "branch" and gramma "character") is a diagram used in cladistics to show relations among organisms. ... These branching off points represent a hypothetical ancestor (not an actual entity) which can be inferred to exhibit the traits shared among the terminal taxa above it.
