Pythagorean theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

the top triangle:
a^2 + 10^2 = 18^2 (the bottom side=10 bc of the rectangle, equal sides)
a^2 + 100 = 324
a^2 = 224
a= 14.97... lets round it to 15 lol
so now we just found the left side for the top triangle

triangle to the farthest right:
2^2 + b^2 = 5^2
4 + b^2 = 25
b^2 = 25 -4
b^2 = 21
b = 4.58.. I’ll round it to 4.6 since it says to round it to the nearest tenth in the question
- we just found the left side for that triangle & that would also be the side for the rectangle’s height.

15 + 4.6 = 19.6

Is the line through points P(–3, –2) and Q(2, 3) perpendicular to the line through points R(10, –1) and S(15, –6)? Explain.
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

B. Yes. Their slopes have product -1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Line passing through P(-3, -2) and Q(2, 3)

Line passing through R(10, -1) and S(15, -6)

Required:

To determine if both lines are perpendicular.

SOLUTION:

Two lines are considered perpendicular if the product of their slopes equal -1.

To determine if both lines given in the question are perpendicular, first, calculate their slope using: m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}

Slope of line passing through P(-3, -2) and Q(2, 3):

Let,

P(-3, -2) = (x_1, y_1)

Q(2, 3) = (x_2, y_2)

m = \frac{3 -(-2)}{2 -(-3)}

m = \frac{5}{5} = 1

Slope of line passing through R(10, -1) and S(15, -6):

Let,

R(10, -1) = (x_1, y_1)

S(15, -6) = (x_2, y_2)

m = \frac{-6 -(-1)}{15 - 10}

m = \frac{-5}{5} = -1

The product of their slopes = 1 × -1 = -1

<u><em>Therefore, the lines are perpendicular.</em></u>

The answer is: <em><u>B. "Yes. Their slopes have product -1."</u></em>

Which of the following gives all of the sets that contain sqrt9?
Rudik [331]

Answer: C the set of all integers, the set of all rational numbers, and the set of all real numbers

Step-by-step explanation: The value of square root of 9 is ±3. This means that there two answers to square root of 9: 3 and -3.

As far as 3 is concerned, it is one of the elements of the natural number set. It is already known that natural numbers are also whole numbers, also integers, also rational numbers, and also real numbers.

As far as -3 is concerned, it is not a natural number since the set of natural numbers does not contain negative numbers. -3 is an integer. Which means that -3 is also a rational number and also a real number.

After identifying the common sets and taking the intersection of both the above classifications, it yields the set of all integers, the set of all rational numbers, and the set of all real numbers

Hopes this helps bro

Joan draws a bar chart to show the temperatures at midday on March 1st in five cities.
Leni [432]

The mistakes that Joan made are:

  1. The y-axis does not start from zero.
  2. The width of the bars are not equal.
  3. The space between the bars are not equal.

<h3>What is a bar chart?
</h3>

A bar chart is a graph that shows the numerical values of variables represented by the height rectangles of equal width.

In a bar graph, the rectangles must be of equal width and the space between each bars must be equal.

Please find attached an image of the bar chart. To learn more about bar charts, please check: brainly.com/question/18092827
