The class median is around 85, the test median is around 95, so they are more than 1-2 points apart.

The median is the middle number of the data set, so this would not have anything to do with the number of scores used.

The answer should be: The exam median is much higher than the class median.

Answer:

The statement that best describes the information about the medians is:

    The additional scores in the second quartile for the exam data make the median higher.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • From the box plot we see that the class median is between 80-90 i.e. approx 85

and the exam median is approx 93.

Hence, the difference is more than 1-2 points.

Hence, option: A is incorrect.

  • Also, there is not a big difference in the median

Since, the percent change in median is:

=\dfrac{93-85}{85}\times 100\\\\\\=9.4118\%

which is a small change.

Hence, option: B is incorrect.

  • The additional scores in the second quartile for the exam data make the median higher.

     As we know that the second quartile is the median of the data and adding additional score will obviously make the median higher.

  • No, the narrower range for the exam data does not cause the median to be higher as the median is always located in the middle of the data .

TEST TOMORROW 33. Mid Town Sports Apparel has found that it needs to sell golf hats at $2.75 each to be competitive. It costs $2
Mars2501 [29]

a. The total cost is the sum of variable and fixed cost. So the average cost of each hat is simply total cost divided by x:

ave cost = (2.12 x + 3000) / x

b. Total cost should be equal to Income:

2.12 x + 3000 = 2.75 x

Solve for x:

x = 4762 units

c. Profit is income minus total cost:

Profit = 2.75 x – (2.12 x + 3000)

1000 = 2.75x – 2.12 x – 3000

Solving for x:

x = 6439 hats

Please help! i need help
Mekhanik [1.2K]

Step-by-step explanation:

13x - 33 = 10x -------------- Corresponding angles

13x - 10x = 33

3x = 33

x = 33/3 = 11

angle 10x = 10(11) = 10 × 11 = 110

5y = 180 - 10x

5y = 180 - 10(11)

5y = 180 - 110

5y = 70

y = 70/5 = 14
