Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Rectangle B :

P = 2(L + W)

L = 4

W = 6

P = 2(4 + 6).....P = 2(10)...P = 20 cm

so the perimeter of rectangle B is 20 cm

perimeter of rectangle A is 3 times bigger...

so perimeter of rectangle A is : (3 * 20) = 60 cm <==

=====================

another way to do this is if rectangle A is 3 times bigger, then the length and width are 3 times bigger too

so if rectangle B has a length of 4 cm, then rectangle A has a length of

(4 * 3) = 12 cm

and if rectangle B has a width of 6 cm, then rectangle A has a width of

(6 * 3) = 18 cm

so rectangle A perimeter is :

P = 2(L + W)

L = 12

W = 18

P = 2(12 + 18)...P = 2(30).....P = 60 cm <===

either way u choose to do it will give u the same answer

A 25 - foot ladder is leaned against a wall. If the base of the ladder is 7 ft from the wall,
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

24

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the ladder, wall, and ground form a right triangle, you can use this formula:

A squared + B squared = C squared

A = 7 feet

C = 25 feet

B = distance the ladder will reach

49 + B squared = 625

B squared = 625 - 49

B = square root of 576

B = 24 feet

Consider U = {x|x is a negative real number} which is an empty set?
gavmur [86]
I am not sure exactly what you are looking for is this problem. Are you given choices from which to choose?

The empty set is a set with no numbers. Therefore, you should look for a set that doesn't have any elements.
