in this story a boy attempts to charm the girl he cares about and in order to attain her , he presents himself by cleaning up the way he looks and changes his crooked teeth. In order to impress Sandra he tried to look like someone else and as such Alfonso tries to change the way he looks to attract her attention . therefore the theme of appearance is different from reality comes into play
