Why are lipids important as food molecules?
olga nikolaevna [1]
One of the main functions lipids do is storing energy. If a person eats excessive amount of food, lipids help store the energy in the form of fat molecules in the body to use later.

During meiosis i, assuming no crossing over, what chromatid combination(s) will be present at the completion of prophase i?
arsen [322]

Answer

Crossing over is the phenomenon in which exchange of chromtids occur between non sister chromatids  and result into recombinant chromatids, which is an important tool for evolution and bring about genetic changes in offsprings as compare to their parents.

No crossing over

If no crossing over occurs, it means no exchange of chromatids between non sister chromatids of homologous chromosomes, then no recombinant chromatids will be formed.

Result

At the end of meiosis II, when four haploid cells are formed, all these cell will contain similar chromosomes as present in parent. Thus chromosomes are non recombinant because of no crossing over.

vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

The correct answer is C a sequence of nitrogen bases.

Explanation:

DNA or deoxy ribonucleic acid is the repository of genetic information. The genetic information is stored within the nitrogen bases of DNA molecule.

The A,T,G,C are called genetic alphabets of human life.A for adenine,G for guanine,T for thymine and C for cytosine builds the basic structural backbone of DNA along with deoxyribose sugar and phosphate moiety.

The bases present in DNA are transcribed to forms the bases of mRNA and the concequetive bases of mRNA act as codon that encodes a specific amino acid during the course of translation.
