"Wow. What is that?" Simon Brimm remembers calling out to his long-time friend, Hillary Green. He and Hillary had been friends s

ince preschool, but they lived in different parts of the state now. They hadn't seen each other all summer. Simon, Hillary, and their families were taking a vacation together before middle school started next week. Zavier Gonzales and his cousins were also vacationing at the seaside that weekend. The wind had picked up and the seas were quite rough as swimmers, water boarders, and surfers struggled to stay afloat. Separated from his family, and adrift on a small raft, it was Xavier that Simon saw bobbing along on the horizon. "He and Hillary had been friends since preschool, but they lived in different parts of the state now." What explicit idea is stated in this sentence?

Answer:

The explicit idea is stated in this sentence is "The families were still close and enjoyed spending time together. "

Explanation:

In these lines from "Kids Save the Day—'Heroes' Deemed by Coast Guard!" the author mentions that Simon and Hillary have been friends since they were kids and it is also mentioned that they keep in touch and ,in fact, they took a brief vacation of a week with their families at the beach, this means that not only the two friends are close but the complete two families are.

Have a good day

Explanation:

1. The only reason schools are required to teach history is because if you don't know your history you are doomed to repeat it. It is so very easy for events from the past to come to the presents if people do not learn their history. History can repeat itself in some extreme ways such as slavery or 9/11, or it could repeat itself in some very simple ways. If you really open your eyes to the world we are living in today you would notice that history has already started repeating itself. Discrimination and hate crimes are just a few ways that history has been repeating itself. Overall, I think this quote has a strong and outstanding message through the words you read, and if you cannot learn your history you are eventually at one point, going to be doomed to repeat it.

2. Yes, in everybody's eyes you would see Adolf Hitler as the only terrible person, but the hate and discrimination went much farther than just Hitler alone. Hitler had a whole army working for him. Of course he was the person to make all the decisions, but most of the people in that army made their own decision and support Hitlers wrong doings. Hitlers master plan was basically to cleanse the world of all the Jews in the world, and he didn't ever sugarcoat anything, he brutally murdered 6 million Jews while the non Jewish citizens were cheering him on and supporting them. He was a ruthless person that had no heart and ended his life on his own by shooting himself, due to him not wanting to be charged for war crimes.

Explanation:

Gangaram Mahes is a homeless thief who prefers going to jail where he can get three square meals everyday.

Occasionally, when he's not in jail for a repeated offence, he is living the life eating a good meal at a decent restaurant and wearing clean clothes but when he runs out of money, he perpetrates a crime and calmly waits for the police to pick him up and to send him to a cell at Riker's Island where he is guaranteed three meals a day.
