70/28 = x/250
this however is not an equation it is a proportion so you would not be able to solve using systems of equations but you could use cross multiplication to solve this problem as well

The number of student athletes at a high school is 475 and is increasing at a rate of 4.8% per year. Use an exponential function
Greeley [361]

Answer:

475 × 1.48^9 or 16182

Step-by-step explanation:

We start with 475. Then to find the number of students after 1 year we mult 475 by 1.48 (48% + 1 because we're increasing in students). But, to get it after 9 years, we raise that 1.48 to the power of 9 which is equal to 1.48 * 1.48 * 1.48 and so on 9 times. This leads us to our final equation of 475 * 1.48^9 or roughly 16,182
