He believed that to get involved would stir up relations with other foreign allies therefore he thought it was best to stay uninvolved. For example during the French Revolution he created an act that kept us from becoming involved and this caused James Madison to say that what he did was out of line without approval of congress. this act was the Proclamation of Neutrality of 1793

Hitler promised if he was elected chancellor he would bring Germany back to its prime. Which he basically did. After the lose of WW1 hitler was furious that Germany lost. Along with all that Germany had to repay to the allies hitler sought that it was time for Germany to become great again so he wrote Mien Kampf in prison about his struggles to bring Germany back to its glory days all he needed was the support of Germany.
