Faulty coordination is when two ideas of unequal nature are linked together. An example would be similar to this:

The sky is beautiful, the sun is shining and we like the weather report.

Revised: We like the weather report because the sky is beautiful and the sun is shining.

The child had a fever when the child coughed a lot and since the mom called the doctor three times her insurance rates will probably go up.

Revised: The mom called the doctor three times about the child with a fever and a cough which will probably lead to <em />insurance rates going up.
