Climate change is a long-term shift in global or regional climate patterns. Often climate change refers specifically to the rise in global temperatures from the mid-20th century to present. It results in the unexpected weather patterns and the change in the same making it quite unpredictable. It has been connected with other damaging weather events such as more frequent and more intense hurricanes, floods, downpours, and winter storms.

<h3>What are the Causes of Climate Change? </h3>

More than 85 percent of emissions are due to agriculture and deforestation, while the power, transport, industrial and building sectors contribute 3 percent each. Globally, Ethiopia accounts for less than 0.1 percent of emissions, yet it is already experiencing the adverse effects of climate change. The major reasons or the causes of climate change in Ethiopia is rapid deforestation, rapid population growth and agricultural expansions, along with air pollution etc.
