Continental Drift was the theory theorized by Alfred Wegener in 1912. He hypothesized that the continents used to be a single landmass before being drifted apart. At first, the theory of Continental drift was neglected because of a lack of evidence but later other sociologists worked upon this theory and proposed the shifting of plates on the earth's crust.
