PT = TQ

Given PT = 4x - 6 and TQ = 3x + 4

so

4x - 6 = 3x + 4

Subtract 3x from both sides

4x - 6 - 3x = 3x + 4 - 3x

Simplifying

x - 6 = 4

Add 6 to both sides

x - 6 + 6 = 4 + 6

Simplifying

x = 10

PT = 4(10) - 6 = 40 - 6

PT = 34

Answer

PT = 34

You do 4x-6=3x+4 to find the value of x. Once you figure that out you input the number u got for X into the expression. so 4(x)-6 and get that answer for PT. same applies to TQ

Which statement about proportional relationships is false? O A proportional relationship must graph as a line. O A graph of a pr
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer: Which statement is False

Step-by-step explanation:

proportional relationships

y ∝ x

=> y = kx

Comparing with line line of equation

y = mx + c

m = k  , c = 0

Hence A proportional relationship must graph as a line

TRUE

at x = 0 , y = 0

Hence graph of a proportional relationship must pass through (0, 0).

TRUE

y = kx

=> y/x = k  hence

Each point (or pair) in a proportional relationship must share the same ratio.

TRUE

Each point (or pair) in a proportional relationship must share the same difference.

FALSE

Solve: negative 1 over 2 x + 1 = −x + 8 (5 points)
Naya [18.7K]
It is 14 because if you have -1/2x + 1 = -x + 8 you would combine the multiplied terms into a single fraction then subtract the one from both sides simplify till you get -x/2 = -x + 7 then you will add like terms so the x’s then you multiply all terms by two like 2(-x/2)= 2•7 then you can get 14.

D=h+9 The variable H represents the number of hours worked, and the variable d represents the amount of dough prepared how many
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

  12 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

If we assume that the units of D are kg, then we can put the given number into the equation and solve.

  21 = h +9

  12 = h . . . . . subtract 9

Eli worked 12 hours to prepare 21 kg of dough.
