Galileo's discovery of the moons of Jupiter, the phases of Venus, and the rotational period of
nikklg [1K]

Answer:Galileo's discovery shows that, to an observer on Earth, Venus has phases just like Earth's moon. This observation provide support for the heliocentric model of the solar system as follows:

  • Galileo noticed the Moon is not flat, but rocky and rugged-just like the Earth did.
  • He used his telescope to observe the Venus phases. Galileo's findings confirmed his confidence in the concept of Copernicus that Earth and remaining planets revolve around the Sun, i.e. Heliocentrism.
  • While most individuals in Galileo's days assumed that the Earth was the center of the universe and that the Sun and planets revolved around it, i.e. geocentrism.
  • The idea of geocentric was generally preferred by the prominent and strong Catholic Church, and when Galileo started writing papers on his belief in a heliocentric with a valid explanation, he was called to Rome to face the inquisition's charges towards him.
  • Thus in early 1616 he was accused of being a heretic, but later he cleared of charges of "heresy" with warning that he should not spread his belief.
  • But he pursued his astronomy research, and was increasingly confident that all planets revolved around the Sun. Therefore  he published a book in 1632 which explained that Copernicus' heliocentric theory was appropriate.
  • Thus after this finally he was charged by "heresy" and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1633, but due to his poor health he lived imprisonment under house arrest and finally died on January 8, 1642.

Hope I helped

David feeds his cattle with root vegetables such as turnips. Which type of feed includes root vegetables such as turnips?
Lena [83]
To be honest, I should know this answer because I am an animal science major, but its been a while since we learned about this stuff. So, from the brief 30 min google search I did:

I can tell you it is almost certainly not "concentrates". Concentrates are usually made of high-energy, low-fiber cereal grains, like oats, corn, soybeans, etc.

Dry Roughage might be the answer just because according to http://modernfarmer.com/2014/12/turnips/, turnips are a diarrhetic for cows. So, they should be mixed with high-fiber feeds in order for the cow to more effectively use of the nutrients in turnips. However, the question asked specifically which feed INCLUDES root vegetables. So, I don't think that dry roughage can possibly be the answer. Dry roughage are high in fiber, low in energy, and usually around 10-15% moisture. Dry Roughages include things like hay, husks, and straw.

Green Roughages is comprised usually contain high moisture content ranging from around 50-90%. I looked it up, turnips are slightly above that range; their moisture content resting at about 91-92%.  However other root vegetables did lie in range. Carrots having 88% moistuire, potatos 79%,  beet roots 87%, etc. So, I think you could make a case base on the moisture content of root vegetables that they would be found in green roughage.

I do not think it would be Silage because that looks to be a mixture fodder(hay/corn) that has been anaerobically fermented in a silo into a succulent feed.

I think dry matter can't be the answer because I believe it is just a measurement of how much dry matter is contained in a particular feed such as, silages, concentrates, and roughages. For example, this feed mixture is 885 dry matter feed.
In conclusion, my best guess would be the answer is GREEN ROUGHAGES just based on the moisture content. Does that make sense to you too? I hope I am correct. I am sorry that I have to guess and that I couldn't tell you a definite answer. I hope this info helped you anyway!

Explain each of the five theories of emotion (James-Lange, Cannon-Bard, Schachter-Singer two-factor theory, Zajonc and LeDoux, a
hoa [83]

Answer:

The James-Lang theory states that our experiences of emotion is our awareness of our physiological responses to emotion-arousing stimuli, meaning that your body does certain thing which is then followed by an emotion. For example, your heart racing, and body shaking would be followed by a sudden rush of fear.

The Cannon-Bard theory states that an emotion arousing stimulus simultaneously triggers a physiological response and the subjective experience of an emotion. Disagreeing with the James-Lang theory, the Cannon-Bard suggests that the feeling of fear does not cause your heart rate to increase but your heart rate increasing, does not evoke a feeling of fear, rather, these are both separate occurrences that happen simultaneously.

The two-factor theory states that to experience emotion, you must be physically aroused and cognitively label the arousal. This means that in order to feel an emotion you have to be consciously aware of the stimuli provoking and causing the emotion.

The Zajonc, LeDoux, and Lazarus theory states that some emotions can occur instantly with out conscious appraisal.
