Hey

To answer your question, this sentence violates the principles of objectivity in writing because It brings the writer into the sentence.

The sente breaks the principle of objectivity in writing because, as you might know, the definition of objectivity is something that's "not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts". In writing, this translates to a summary that recapitulates the author’s points without including your own points of view, objections or criticisms.

Since the sentence here starts with an "I believe" which indicates the writer is about to state his own opinion, then this breaks he principles of objectivity in writing a summary. Therefore, the answer is D.

Which one of the following sentences is punctuated correctly?
salantis [7]
The correct answer is b. The sea calmed, but no boats left shore. Option a is incorrect because there are unnecessary commas between the noun and its verb ("sea, calmed" and "boats, left"). Option c is incorrect because when using a semi colon, the phrases on both sides of it should be able to stand alone. While "the sea calmed" can work by itself, "but no boats, left shore" cannot, thus rendering the semi colon incorrect. Additionally, there is an unnecessary comma between the noun "boats" and the verb "left." Finally, option d is incorrect because there should be a comma before the conjunction "but."

What do you think a caption of this image could be?Now, revise your predictions based on the text below.
butalik [34]

Answer:

I would say it's A.

Explanation:

It mentions "The Minnesota Department of Transportation claims that money issues were not the cause for this accident." This would eliminate choice B. D doesn't seem logical because all answers seem pretty solid, so eliminate D. Then, C isn't the best title due to the way it's said. It seems bland, so that eliminates C as well.
