Answer:

James Abram Garfield

Explanation:

James A Garfield was the 20th president of the United States. He had the second shortest tenure in U.S. presidential history that lasted for 7 months (March 4–September 19, 1881).

He began his career at Eclectic Institute as a professor of ancient languages upon graduation from Williams College. In 1857, at age 25, he became the school’s president.

On July 2, 1881, Garfield was assassinated in the railroad station in Washington, D.C., by Charles J. Guiteau, a mental office seeker who had messianic visions. The first shot grazed Garfield’s arm, but the second bullet pierced his back and lodged behind his pancreas. Guiteau willingly surrendered to police, while announcing, “I am a Stalwart'.

Colonists sought the recognition and support of other nations, but none so badly is that of France, Britain is powerful, long-standing enemy. The French had been seeking an opportunity to avenge its defeat in the seven years’ war, and the French officials had, in fact, been counting on a political crisis in the American colonies to provide such an opportunity.

Why might location have been important to the power and wealth of the Mississippian culture?
noname [10]
Mississippi became wealthy and powerful because of its location on the Mississippi river and its position towards the middle of the nation. The Mississippi river was used to carry goods up and down America, and anyone going West would most likely pass through Mississippi, adding to its revenue and, therefore, wealth.
