Answer:

The Green Revolution

Explanation:

During the 1950s and 1960s, the world population dramatically rose and there was a big demand placed on the world food security. Many countries with a low level of development and less than ideal climates were suffering from food shortages. High yield variety crops were created to allow staple dietary food such as rice to be harvested more times each year and for them to be more resistant against temperature change and disease. These new strain of crops also required more fertilizer so artificial alternatives had to replace the old traditional methods. The new crops also demanded new irrigation techniques to get the water to the fast-growing crops.

What was the source of the difficulty great britain faced in preparing palestine for independence
Anna71 [15]

The British ruled Palestine from 1920 to 1948. The Brits and the French ended up dividing Palestine. Their actions were seen as an act of betrayal by Arabs, who were promised independence after supporting British military against the Ottoman Empire during World War I. There is a significant Jewish population in the region, and immigration was still ongoing, creating further friction. The Arabs also supported the Axis during World War II. The British rule broke down right when the Arabs and Jews began fighting each other; the Brits cannot decide whether the Jews or the Arabs should rule the region.
