Answer:

The parallel line would be y = 1 and the perpendicular line would be x = 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find a line parallel to y = 5, we must first note that y = 5 is a horizontal line. This means to be parallel, the line must also be horizontal. All horizontal lines are written in the form of y = (just a number). Since we can see the value of y in the ordered pair as 1, we know the equation is y = 1.

The exact opposite logic can be used to find the perpendicular line. Since the first line is horizontal, the next one will be vertical, which are written as x = (a number). We again look to the ordered pair to determine the number and write the equation as x = 3

If Jeremy drinks 1 1/2 quarts of coffee every 3 days, how many liters of coffee would Jeremy drink in 3 weeks? (1 quart = 0.946
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

9.93 liter approximately 10 liter

Step-by-step explanation:

3 days = 3/2 quart

3 week = 3/2/3 × 21 quarts

= 1/2×21

=21/2 quarts

now

1 quart = 0.946 liter

21/2 quart = 0.946×21/2 liter

21/2 quart = 9.93 liter

Find the function of ğ...<br>does anybody knows?
Basile [38]
If we let g(x) = x + 2, then
{(x +  2)}^{2}  + 2 = ( {x}^{2}  + 4x + 4) + 2 \\  =  {x}^{2}  + 4x + 6
Of course if we let f(x) = x + 2, then

PLEASE What fraction of 9 3/8 is 4 3/8 ? (A) 3/8 (B) 7/15 (C) 5/9 (D) 315/8
sattari [20]

Hello!

To solve this, I would convert to improper fractions. This is done by multiplying the integer with the denominator and adding it to the numerator.

9 3/8: 9*8+3=72+3=75

4 3/8: 4*8+3=32+3=35

So the improper fractions therefore are 75/8 and 35/8.

Now to see what fractions of each other they are, you can just divide the numerators because the denominators cancel each other out.

35/75 = 7/15

So your answer would be 7/15, or B.

Hope this helped!

Find S5 for the sequence 3, 13, 23, 33, 43, 53, 63, 73.
hoa [83]
 have an arithmetic sequence here....to find the common difference, subtract the first term from the second term. 13 - 3 = 10...so basically, ur adding 10 to each number to get to the next number.

before we find s5, we r going to find a5...because we need a5 to use in the sum formula.....a5 is the fifth term, and it is 43

sn = (n (a1 + a5) / 2
s5 = (5 (3 + 43) / 2
s5 = (5 (46)) / 2
s5 = 230/2
s5 = 115 <===

or, for this particular problem, s5 is the sum of the first 5 terms.
3 + 13 + 23 + 33 + 43 = 115.....u can do it this way for s5...but if u were asked to find s20, I suggest using the formula.
