Echo sounding is a better way of mapping ocean floors because this method can be used to measure larger depths of the ocean.

<u>EXPLANATION:</u>

  • This method of mapping, the 'depth of the ocean' uses sound waves to send and receive signals from depths of ocean enabling accurate mapping.
  • The lead weight on line method can also be used for mapping ocean floor but this method is better for up to 50 meters of depth.
  • For greater depths, the lead weight method does not give exact results.
