History

Slav-nsk [51]2 years ago

Answer:

Explanation:

The internet and social media provided challenges for the political process by providing something much more entertaining to watch. For example, instead of someone wanting to learn more about a presidential candidate, they would rather watch funny cat videos or see who's about to break a bone by jumping off a 2 story roof. The internet in general is very distracting because it always gets you to click on something, but not just something random, something interesting. It Google, Yahoo, Amazon, etc. have bought and sold cookies to other companies that go through your search history and advertise what you look though or like.

Through good economic years and bad, many european economies had unemployment rates hovering near _________ since the 1970s.
xenn [34]
The correct answer is 10%.

Sometimes these numbers were higher, sometimes they were lower, but in general, good economic years hovered around 10% which was not so bad for the society since it's impossible to reduce it to 0% and it is also easy for it to go way over 10%, so the 10% mark was acceptable for numerous countries in Europe.

How did great britain exert significant influence in china during the late 1800s?
aniked [119]
Britain influenced China by establishing a British government in Hong Kong, in its quest for opium and fine products from Asia. Great Britain and some European countries began the trade of opium paying with gold for this one, since the European products had a low demand in China; this was part of the trade imbalance with China. There was a huge demand in Europe for Chinese tea, silks and porcelain pottery, which led to two wars, called the Opium Wars, in which China lost and had to accept the terms of Europe, while its population began to become addicted to opium. The British way of life and the addiction to opium, plus intervention in the Chinese government, only ended with the arrival of the Communists.
