So for number 7, instead of being able to say that the probability is out of 10 because there are 10 cards, you actually need to draw a probability tree and say that the first time you take a card out, the probability of getting an even number is 5/10, but the second time, one card is missing so it is (if the card was an even number first) 4/9 and (if the card was an odd number first) 5/9. Because you want the probability of two even numbers, you would need to say that the first one was even and so was the second, and then you multiply. So, 5/10 × 4/9 = 20/90, which can simplify to 2/9. I hope this helps! Let me know if you need more explanation or anything :)

The following hypotheses are given. H0 : π ≤ 0.70 H1 : π > 0.70 A sample of 100 observations revealed that p = 0.75. At the 0
Degger [83]

Answer:

The null hypothesis can't be rejected.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information:

Null hypothesis:

H₀ : π ≤ 0.70

Alternative hypothesis:

H₁ : π > 0.70

We need to check whether the null hypothesis is rejected or accepted.

If P-value < α, then we reject the null hypothesis H₀.

If P-value ≥ α, then we accept the null hypothesis H₀.

A sample of 100 observations revealed that p = 0.75 at the 0.05 significance level.

Here 0.75>0.05, it means p > α, therefore we can not reject the null hypothesis.

Lorico [155]

Answer:

a) 8.2 in^3 b) 25.8 in^3 c) 17.6 in^3

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of cone=(1/3)π(r^2)*h

a) 8.2 in^3

regular ice cream cone=(1/3)π(1.25^2)*5=8.18=8.2 in^3

b) 25.8 in^3

waffle cone=(1/3)π(1.875^2)*7=25.77=25.8 in^3

c) 17.6 in^3

waffle cone-regular ice cream cone= 25.8-8.2=17.6 in^3

Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

$618.95 rounded up. 0.004c

£388.09 on rent and $230.84 food

We can round up and state $619 to nearest tenth.

Or leave as non rounded Total $618.93

Step-by-step explanation:

27% of 1,437.40=388.09

1,437.40 - 388.09 = 1049.31

22% of 1049.31 = 230.8482

$230,84   Shown here, as not round up or down as 230.84 as £388.09 was not rounded up from 388.098.

= $618.95 rounded up. 0.004c
