Dropping tools or materials from a height is not advisable even if we have warned the people staying below or moving around. Even if when the area below is clear, we should not drop tools to the ground.
This is because even if we have warned the people, dropping tools might hit some one around below by mistake. A lying tool on the ground which is dropped can also be danger as people can be injured as they might not notice the tool.
Thus it is not safe to drop tools or materials to the ground.
