People saw videotapes of a man being beaten by policemen was the most likely direct cause of the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

Option B

Explanation:

The protests resulted from the guilty verdict in 1991 from the black motorist Rodney King of four white police officers in Los Angeles.

Facts: More than 50 people were killed and 2,000 wounded during the five days of protests in spring 1992.

The exemption for four policemen whose brutal battle against black driver Rodney King was captured and broadly circulated on cell phone video in numerous cities all over the United States resulted in raging outbreaks.

The effects were nowhere more pronounced than in Los Angeles, in the same large area devastated by 1965 riots and never rebuilt. The occurrence of the Los Angeles riot began instantly and was shown graphically on TV.

The intense outrage at this court case was definitely that which set off the South Central rebellion, but it was deeper poverty and terror that the four bullying cops in the Rodney King were acquitted.
