Answer:

Slope is rise over run.  To calculate rise over run you go from a point to the next. In your case, the rise over run is 1000/1. So your rate of change is 1000. Your y-intercept form equation is y=1000x+0, because 0 is the y-intercept.

0x1000+0=0

1x1000+0=1000

2x1000+0=2000.

3x1000+0=3000

So, if it's asking what time the balloon is at 5000 ft, you do 5000/1000=5. (you'd divide by your rate of change because division is opposite of multiplication). So, at 5 minutes, the balloon will be at 5000 ft.

Since 2 seconds is 1/30 of a minute, you do 1/30 to get .03. .03x1000+0= 30.

This means the balloon will be 30 feet in the air at 2 seconds.

The balloon will reach 10,000 ft at 10 minutes. You take the feet and divide by the slope. 10,000/1000 = 10 and 10x1000+0=10,000

VikaD [51]

The altitude of a shape or a polygon can be determined by drawing a perpendicular line from the base to the top most part of the polygon. In this case, the altitude is the segment BC where the ends are on the topmost of the cylinder and the base of the cylinder.

Marta_Voda [28]

Answer and explanation:

Given : The demand for a product for the last six years has been 15, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 19. The manager wants to predict the demand for this time series using the following simple linear trend equation : tr_t = 12 + 2t

To find : What are the forecast errors for the 5th and 6th years?

Solution :

Data : 15, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 19.

The simple linear trend equation is given as, tr_t = 12 + 2t

For t = 5 years

tr_t = 12 + 2(5)

tr_t = 12 +10

tr_t = 22

Observed tr_t = 20

Predicted tr_t = 22

Forecast error = Observed – Predicted = 20 – 22 = -2

Absolute forecast error = |-2| = 2 .

For t = 6 years

tr_t = 12 + 2(6)

tr_t = 12 +12

tr_t = 24

Observed tr_t = 19

Predicted tr_t = 24

Forecast error = Observed – Predicted = 19 – 24 = -5

Absolute forecast error = |-5| = 5.

5. 3/4 divided by 1/5
ehidna [41]

Step-by-step explanation:

3/4÷1/5

15/20÷4/20

we flip the second fraction and change the ÷ into ×

15/20×20/4=300/80

and now you can simplify this fraction.
