I do not know what the heck is going on with this comment Lol, the only thing that will keep you in a cell is by doing something illegal, and slavery only existed back then in history.
Our American government is one of the most free, if not, it is the #1 place for freedom. Our government guarantees as much freedom as possible, but just like every working, normal society we must have standards that we hold the people to, and that’s why we have laws.

To commit a crime in America anyways is already dumb, you have some of the best education and chances in the world and it’s let to waste!

Try arguing this, the guy who first answered this question ;)

Answer:

So in the way the Government has the ability to free people but mostly they don't want any part of freeing us they keep us locked, away in cells, slavery

and other horrible things.

Explanation:

OK look at it this way we got amendments here's one. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects the freedom of speech, religion and the press. It also protects the right to peaceful protest and to petition the government. The amendment was adopted in 1791 along with nine other amendments that make up the Bill of Rights – a written document protecting civil liberties under U.S. law. The meaning of the First Amendment has been the subject of continuing interpretation and dispute over the years. Landmark Supreme Court cases have dealt with the right of citizens to protest U.S. involvement in foreign wars, flag burning and the publication of classified government documents.

Is the Supreme Courts interpretation of the 14th Amendment and use of selective incorporation a
hram777 [196]

Answer and Explanation:

The 14th amendment cannot be a violation of the concept of federalism, as federalism is in accordance with the concepts covered in the Bill of Rights and only allows for the separation and sharing of powers between state and federal governments if this does not hurt the concepts covered by the Bill of Rights. These concepts are strengthened with the 14th amendment and for this reason, we should not consider that this amendment could harm the concept of federalism.

The ability of a state to create its own laws must be maintained even if people can move from one state to another, because this allows states to organize and maintain order in their territories, independent of their inhabitants. In this case, the individual who is moving from state to state must adapt to the laws of the territory, so that he/she can remain in the place.
