-2x + 6 ≤ 2

Isolate the x. Do the opposite of PEMDAS. First, subtract 6 from both sides

-2x + 6 (-6) ≤ 2 (-6)

-2x ≤  2 - 6

-2x ≤  -4

Next, divide -2 from both sides (Remember that when dividing a negative number, flip the sign)

-2x/-2 ≤  -4/-2

x ≥ 2

x ≥ 2 is your equation.

This means that x can be equal to, or greater than 2

You're interval Notation is: [2, ∞)

hope this helps

Note: In interval notation, you use a bracket for closed, and a parenthesis for open.

write two linear functions, f(x) and g(x). For example, f(x)= 3x-7 and g(x)= -2x+5. Then see whether f(x) - (-g(x)) is equivalen
sweet [91]

Answer:

the two expressions are equivalent.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that f(x)= 3x-7 and g(x)= -2x+5, therefore:

f(x) - (-g(x)) = 3x-7 - ( +2x-5) = 3x - 7 - 2x + 5 = x -2

f(x) + g(x) = 3x-7 -2x + 5 = x - 2

Therefore,  f(x) - (-g(x)) is equivalent to f(x) + g(x).

Another way to check that the two expressions are equivalent is by solving the parenthesis:

f(x) - (-g(x)) →  f(x) + g(x)

Therefore, the two expressions are equivalent.

A circle has a radius of 3. An arc in this circle has a central angle of 60. What is the length of the arc ?
Mashutka [201]
This is the formula:

Arc length = 2(3.14)(3)(60/360)

18.84(60/360)

18.84 x 0.16 = 3

The length of the arc = 3
