Answer:

This is a list of presidents of the United States by time in office. The basis of the list is the difference between dates. The length of a full four-year presidential term of office amounts to 1,461 days (three common years of 365 days plus one leap year of 366 days). If counted by number of calendar days all the figures would be one greater, with the exception of Grover Cleveland, who would receive two days.

Since 1789, there have been 44 people sworn into office as President of the United States, and 45 presidencies, as Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms and is counted chronologically as both the 22nd and 24th president. Of the individuals elected president, four (William Henry Harrison,[1] Zachary Taylor,[2] Warren G. Harding,[3] and Franklin D. Roosevelt) died of natural causes while in office, four (Abraham Lincoln,[4] James A. Garfield,[4][5] William McKinley,[6] and John F. Kennedy) were assassinated, and one (Richard Nixon[7]) resigned from office.

William Henry Harrison spent the shortest time in office while Franklin D. Roosevelt spent the longest. Roosevelt is the only US president to have served more than two terms. Following ratification of the Twenty-second Amendment in 1951, presidents—beginning with Dwight D. Eisenhower—have been ineligible for election to a third term or, after serving more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected president, to a second term. The amendment contained a grandfather clause that explicitly exempted the incumbent president, then Harry S. Truman, from the new term limitations, which first applied to his immediate successor, Dwight D. Eisenhower.

We live in a world in which global circulation of people, information, goods, and bacteria is the danger of emerging viruses. Ho
cestrela7 [59]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

It is correct to say that we live in a world in which the global circulation of people, information, goods, and bacteria is the danger of emerging viruses.

The medieval system of dealing with the Black Death compared with ours in that it created so much fear due to misinformation and the lack of proper solutions against the Bubonic Plague. People feared the unknown and when they saw the effects of the plague, they locked in their houses and avoided any exterior contact.

Sounds similar? Well, pretty close with what we are witnessing today with so much misinformation, drama in the way news is reported, and the lack of a true solution to cure the current pandemic.

The Bubonic Plague or Black Death devastated many European nations in the 1300s. A dramatic decline of the population in Europe in the 1300s was caused by the Bubonic Plague.

The plague arrived in Europe in 1347 through the Sicilian port of Messina. Historians considered that the Bubonic Plague killed 20 million people in Europe. The sailors that navigated the trade routes of the time got the disease in Asia. In 1340, the plague had struck nations such as China, Egypt, Syria, India, and Persia.

Which of these was true about indentured servants in Jamestown?
Colt1911 [192]

The correct answer is B; They had few rights under their contract.

Further Explanation:

Numerous wealthy families had indentured servants in Jamestown. The people who were indentured servants all choose so willingly. Some of the reasons for becoming an indentured servant were;

  • they came to America free
  • free room and board
  • lodging and freedom dues paid for the workers
  • after their service was over they had a freedom package

The freedom packages included many incentives such as;

  • free land, sometimes, up to 25 acres
  • free corn for a year
  • new clothing
  • animals, such as cows or pigs
  • arms/guns

The indentured servants usually worked for an average of 7 years depending on the contract they signed. They were not slaves and were there of their own free will. They did get punished, many times harshly if a rule was broken. The contract could be made longer if a rule was broken, such as the pregnancy of a female servant. Indentured servants were both white and African American. The African Americans had the same contracts as the whites and were treated equally until slavery began and they lost their rights.
