The correct answer is B) they gained more political power.

The lives of the Plebeians steadily changed during the Roman Republic period in that they gained more political power.

During the period of the Roman Republic, Rome became the most powerful Empire in the region from the 5th century BCE to the 1st century CE. Romans citizens had the right to elect their rulers and the Republic tried to prevent that one sole power unbalanced the politics and the structure of the Republic. The Romans replaced the Emperor with two consuls that were elected to serve during one year. Roman society was divided into Patricians, the wealthy men, and the Plebeians, the common citizen. Nut during the Republic, the Pableians participated more in politics and gained more political power.
