Feudalism started during the period of Viking, Magyar, and Muslim invasions

Feudalism is believed to have begun about the 8th century. Nevertheless, it actually began to develop around the 10th century in Europe. The King would provide land to the nobles.

Feudalism constituted a combination of legal and military customs in medieval Europe that developed between the 9th and 15th centuries. It was a way of structuring society around relationships which stemmed from the holding of land in exchange for service or labour.
