the answer would be the third answer initial value 25 rate of change -5

To find the rate of change find the difference in the Y values for every X value.

From X 1 to X 3 the Y value changes by -10

-10 / 2 = -5.

The rate of change is -5.

The initial value is when X = 0

When X is 1, the Y value is 20, using the rate of change of -5, this means when X is 0, the Y value would be 25.

The answer would be, the initial value is 25, rate of change is -5

A frog sits at one end of a table which is 2m long. In its first jump the frog goes a distance of 1m along the table, with its s
Phantasy [73]
Ah, this is an infinite sum question, or a sum of geometric sequence
when will the sum reach 1cm of the edge or about 1.99m
so

2m=200cm
within 1cm means at least 1.99m
so
we will use m and not cm for consitancy

sum of geometric sequence is
S_n= \frac{a_1(1-r^n)}{1-r}
a1=first term=initial jjump=1
r=common ratio=1/2
n=?, we ar solving for that

so
we want it to equal 1.99 so

1.99= \frac{1(1- (\frac{1}{2})^n)}{1-\frac{1}{2}}
1.99= \frac{(1- (\frac{1}{2})^n)}{\frac{1}{2}}
1.99= 2(1- (\frac{1}{2})^n)
divide both sides by 2
\frac{1.99}{2} = 1- (\frac{1}{2})^n
times -1
\frac{-1.99}{2} = (\frac{1}{2})^n-1
add 1 or 2/2 to both sides
\frac{0.01}{2} = (\frac{1}{2})^n
take the ln of both sides
ln(\frac{0.01}{2}) = ln((\frac{1}{2})^n)
ln(\frac{0.01}{2}) = n ln(\frac{1}{2})
divide both sides by ln(1/2)
\frac{ln(\frac{0.01}{2})}{ln(\frac{1}{2})} =n
use your calculatro to find that n≈7.64386
so on 7th jump, it is not yet at 1cm to the edge but at 8th jump, it is past
so 8th jump

Can someone please solve
pentagon [3]

Answer:

78

Step-by-step explanation:

Evaluate 6 (2 x^2 - 5) where x = -3:

6 (2 x^2 - 5) = 6 (2×(-3)^2 - 5)

Hint: | Evaluate (-3)^2.

(-3)^2 = 9:

6 (2×9 - 5)

Hint: | Multiply 2 and 9 together.

2×9 = 18:

6 (18 - 5)

Hint: | Subtract 5 from 18.

| 1 | 8

- | | 5

| 1 | 3:

6×13

Hint: | Multiply 6 and 13 together.

6×13 = 78:

aivan3 [116]

Answer:1)5x^2-11x

             2) x^2-3x

Step-by-step explanation:

1)(f+g)(x)

f(x)=3x-7

g(x)= 2x-4

[(3x-7)+(2x-4)](x)

3x^2-7x+2x6^2-4x

=<u>5x^2-11x</u>

2) (f-g)(x)

[(3x-7)-(2x-4)](x)

(3x-7-2x+4)(x)

3x^2-7x-2x^2+4x

x^2-3x

The two-dimensional net of a rectangular prism is shown at the left. What is the prism’s surface area? square units
Tasya [4]

Answer:

28 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume that your net has the dimensions shown below.

Its area is

2 yellow rectangles = 2(4 × 2) = 2 × 8 = 16 units²

2 grey rectangles    =  2(4 × 1) = 2 × 4  =  8 units²

2 green rectangles  = 2(2 × 1)  = 2 × 2  = <u> 4 units²</u>

                                                 TOTAL = 28 units²

The prism's surface area is 28 units².

The algebraic form of an arithmetic sequence is 5n-2<br>a) What is its common difference?
Alexxandr [17]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

[math]

U_{n} = 5n - 2 \\

Common Difference = U_{n+1} - U_{n} \\

= [5(n + 1) - 2] - [5n - 2] = [5n + 5 - 2] - [5n - 2]\\

= 5n + 5 - 2 - 5n + 2\\

= 5
