Taxes hit people hard forcing them out of tere homes and on to the street. This was especially hard for mothers of chirdren. Finding a job back then was nearly impossible and most people were living off food they stole;. The Great Depression started in the United States after a major fall in stock prices that began around September 4, 1929 this caused mishap all around.
